Originally a Baldwin area elementary school built in 1907, the former historic two room school was converted into commercial office space for client Donnelly Boland. The goal was to preserve the historic building so that it could continue to be part of the community.
Key interior design features include new open office areas, new restroom facilities and a kitchen. Exposed spiral ductwork and schoolhouse style lighting give tribute to the building’s past.
The original ornate wooden double staircase that once led to a small principal’s office on the 2nd floor was restored to its former glory.
New mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems along with the bright finish colors and restored wood trim make the space feel warm and inviting
Exterior upgrades included cleaning up the exterior façade, adding new windows, gutters and facia, new sidewalks, landscaping, and storm drainage.
